Not kidding, this is actually how you apply shellac. It dries crazy fast. You can't rework it once it's down. If you make a mistake, you can knock it back later once it's dry and just go back over, but you just put a little on at a time and run out your brush. Within about 5 minutes, it's not sticky to the touch anymore. You can keep layering until you get what you want. In this case, if I have light spots, I can keep putting color on just those spots and then feathering them into the darker one
