Six years ago today, I got my colostomy bag. It was always meant to be permanent, and I’m truly grateful for the life it’s given me. It’s also been three weeks since my last major surgery to fix a hernia and prolapse. I’m still a bit sore and swollen, but I’m doing well and, honestly, I think I’m recovering better than expected! Lots of scars and stitches and my guts looks like I’ve been attached by a shark! Lots of surgeries and caesareans over the years. The bag has been a blessing for so many
