*Tiling Tips for Beginners* 1. Start with a clean, smooth surface! No body likes prep work, but when it comes to tile, starting with a smooth surface that is free of dust is critical! If you have fresh drywall, prime it. 2. Try using a sticky mat product (such as SimpleMat or MuscleBound) instead of thinset. The application is much more beginner friendly and the hood is just as strong! 3. Grout consistency is key! Buy a pre-mixed grout if you can! If it’s not available, be sure to mix your grout
