As a multi-instrumentalist, Quinn Oulton knows how to manipulate his voice the same way as other musical elements. This includes methods from the days of tape machines, where different speeds allowed you to finetune your own vocals to accomodate your sound. Whilst many artists thrive off the process of vocal manipulation, there's still a lot to be said for the rawness of a clean voice and, much like everything in music, it's all a case of personal preference.
