Long tail cast on The long tail cast on is my go-to cast on. But the eternal question is how long should the tail be??!?… 🤯 Here’s a few ways to figure it out: 🙂 The rule of thumb: Use 3-4 times the finished length of the cast on edge 🤓 The scientific solution: Cast on 10 sts, undo and measure the yarn used, and multiply 😉 The smart solution: Tie two balls of yarn together, cast on using one strand from each ball and then cut one of them when finished 😂 The not-so-smart solution: Guesstimat
