Keeping the chicken run and coop clean and smell free is a whole job. We use a “deep litter” method in our run. I add in mulch regularly and they break it down. Every few weeks I go in and pull back the top layers of mulch to get down to the composted material. So far I’ve been using the compost in my back areas of the garden. This works for us.
