MIDAIR EMERGENCY: A Delta flight from Atlanta to Baltimore had to make an emergency landing in North Carolina after the plane lost one of its engines. Delta said it was a contained failure of the left engine and that the part seen bouncing inside one of the engines was the nose cone. There were no reported injuries.
