How to lookup CPT codes and ICD10 codes using iCoder

I often get asked if you need to bring an ICD-10-PCS book to the Certified Professional Coder (CPC) exam. The short answer is no, this book is not permitted. Since the CPC exam is for certified professional coders, the type of coding involved is professional coding. Professional coding uses CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS, but it does not involve ICD-10-PCS. ICD-10-PCS is used for inpatient coding, which is a different type of coding entirely. You won't have any questions on the CPC exam that require
