Launched in 1952, the K2 engine hails from the venerable K-Series of Yanmar engines. So named for the Japanese word "karui" meaning light and the German "klein" meaning small, the K-Series eventually comprised engines from 1.5 to 7 hp to suit the varying needs of farmers.
