OpenAIは27日(米国時間)、7,300億ドルのプレマネー評価額で、1,100億ドル(約17.1兆円)の新規調達を発表した。内訳はソフトバンクから300億ドル、NVIDIAから300億ドル、Amazonから500億ドルの投資を受ける。さらにAmazonとは戦略的提携を締結し、NVIDIAとは次世代推論コンピューティングを確保するなど、資金だけでない提携強化を図っていく。
OpenAIが最も恥知らずな事例として取り上げたのは、「中国の法執行機関」関係者によるケースだ。OpenAIによると、その人物はChatGPTを使い、日本の高市早苗首相をターゲットにした「秘密裏の影響工作」つまり諜報活動を計画していたという。そのやり取りは、高市首相がモンゴルの人権問題を批判した後に行われた。
