クラムワークスは9月21日、PXEブートサーバソフトウェア「Smart NC Boot Server」を販売開始したと発表した。 Smart NC Boot Serverは、カートリッジ型のフラッシュメモリにPXEブートサーバを収め、PC内部のIDEコネクタに取り付けるだけでサーバを起動できる製品。

PC起動時に表示されるPXEのメッセージ。現在のPCのほとんどはネットワークブートが可能だが、ネットワークブートできるようになっている環境はごくわずかのはず PCの起動時にPXE（Preboot eXecution Environment）のメッセージを見たことがある人は多いだろう。
