マイクロソフト(株)は、ソフトウェア開発会社が自社製品をWindows 2000に対応させる作業を支援するテクニカルサポートセンター“Windows 2000 Application Compatibility Lab”を11月1日に開設する、と発表した。運営は(株)アスキー・ネットワーク・テクノロジーが行なう。

パブリックベータ版の提供に続き、RC版のリリース計画も明らかになりつつあるなど、今年後半ともいわれる正式発売に向けて順風満帆に見える「Windows 7」 ― 米Microsoftではそのゴールの1つに「Application Compatibility(アプリケーションの互換性)」を挙げている。
